A letter from the Founder

Hi,

They’ve been telling founders to get infront of the camera and represent their brand on socials for the past 2/3 years, do more story telling or something new every few months.

And while I love it for other brands and founders, enjoy watching their videos and learn alot from them, I really hate the spot light but I’d also love to connect with our people.

Not that im a writer in any way however I’ve decided to make use of our mailing list and send you rants by yours truly every few days/weeks/god knows how often, talking everything fashion, travel, weaving grace and business via a medium I’m more comfortable with aka writing and emails (channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw)

is this going to be consistent? No idea.

We’ll see how it rolls.

It’s also a great way to get your feedback on things and communicate in a non polished social media way.

I was a wedding guest recently wearing one of our dresses, a beautiful girlie also in one of our dresses came over and introduced herself and told me oh so you’re Grace! So while this isn’t my real name at all, I’ll use it as my sign off name here because I loved it. You can call me Grace also known as the creative director and co founder of Weaving Grace, a Cairo based fashion brand- but more on that another day.

I’ll start with a not so mini note for today and the main reason why I’m initiating this. Growing up I hated anything girls only, I used to find that mixed gyms are better, I used to feel ‘Egyptian henna nights’ are icky, anything ‘girls only’ is weird BUT as you get older you start really really embracing girlhood and everything that’s girl core. You start loving female connections and little moments in public bathrooms sharing a moisturizer with a girl you don’t know, you start getting super excited for Henna nights and rock the most shefteshy belly dancing fit or smile from ear to ear when the random girl on the street tells you ‘amazing dress’!

Which made me realize that’d I’d love to connect with the girls of our mini Weaving Grace community, give back to other girls with any info I can help with and get feedback on how to give you more fashion pieces that you’d love to have in your closets.

So, that’s it for starters xx

Much Love,

Grace

PS:

  • anything I send won’t be Chat GPTed so pardon any spelling mistakes or weird unorganized sentences.
